65 points
The voting was tight, so here are the honorable mentions:
The Big Red One (d. Samuel Fuller, 1980 - 20 points),
Fanny and Alexander (d. Ingmar Bergman, 1982 - 20 points),
L'Argent (d. Robert Bresson, 1983 - 18 points),
Repo Man (d. Alex Cox, 1984 - 17 points), and
Terms of Endearment (d. James L. Brooks, 1983 - 17 points).
Martin Scorsese joins Woody Allen and the Coen Brothers with a pair of films in the a five year period. It's a decent list, and its interesting that most of the films are from 1980 and 1984. It is also the first list with only one foreign language film. So what does everyone think about the "canon"? What does it say about the Milk Plus members and readers who voted, you know, besides having a kick ass taste in film? Also, if anyone wants to share their honorable mentions, go right ahead.
And if you missed out on the voting, feel free to share your own top ten list in this comments thread.
