How to Use the Search Engine
Hi, some of you guys probably know how to use this already, but I figured out how the Search Engine for this site actually works; it actually works pretty good, which surprised me. Here are the basics:
*The blog archives the posts weekly, if you look at the archives, you will see that the weekly blog archives run from Sunday to Saturday for each respective week (for example the most recent archive runs from 10-6 to 10-12).
*The blog main page displays seven days worth of posts, skipping days if there are no posts.
*The Search Engine searches the archives.
*If any part of an archived week appears on the main page, the Search Engine will not return any results from those pages. As I write this, there are two weeks worth of posts displayed on the main page, so the Search Engine would not return any results from Weeks 9-29 through 10-5 and 10-6 through 10-12.
*The Search Engine is pretty specific, so try different word combinations. When I was playing around with it, I searched for
Y Tu Mama Tambien; it returned all of the posts on it to the blog except for my own initial review. I found it when I entered "Y Tu Mama," the reason I couldn't find it the first time was that I had accidentally added an extra space between "Mama" and "Tambien." (oops!) Also, you may have to scroll down the page to find the correct post, but this is actually pretty rare.
I hope this helps anyone who wants to use the Search Function.
